Working in collaboration with the Buckminster Fuller Institute, DR Design & Goetz Composites CFL has undertaken several projects working to further Fuller's 3/4 FED, along with other domes.
Comprised of engineered FRP with polycarbonate lenses, the domes are a tribute to modern modeling & manufacturing technologies. We believe Bucky would be pleased with the process.
The team worked with Venue Arts on the MGM Macau Butterfly Pavillion to create a specialized dome which shipped to Macau in 2012. In 2014 the team worked with art collector & developer Craig Robins to create a highly engineered, code compliant 3/4 FED for the Miami Design District.
